David S. Stoker, DDS

Dr. David Stoker was born and raised in Salt Lake City. He received an undergraduate degree in Medical Biology from the University of Utah. Following graduation he attended dental school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. After graduating with honors, Dr. Stoker completed a four-year hospital based residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, also at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with advanced training in Facial Reconstruction, Dental Implants, Facial Trauma, Bone Grafting, Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery, and removal of Impacted Teeth. Concurrent with his surgical training he also received advanced training in the administration of General Anesthesia.

After completion of residency, Dr. Stoker and his family returned to Utah where he joined the practice of Dr. Grant B. Cannon in the Salt Lake City area of Salt Lake City. The practice has long been, and continues to be regarded as one of the premier Dental Implant practices in the intermountain area and routinely treats patients from around the region and country offering unique services and a commitment to excellence in patient care. In addition to dental implants and bone grafting of the maxillofacial area, Dr. Stoker has specific interest in Maxillofacial Trauma and Reconstruction. He is currently on staff at several regional hospitals, including Intermountain Medical Center and St. Mark’s Hospital where he plays an active role in the Maxillofacial Trauma services.

With a keen interest for continuing education, Dr. Stoker lectures regularly to undergraduate students in the Biology department at the University of Utah. He maintains current membership in numerous local, national, and international organizations including:

Dr. Stoker has successfully completed the rigorous, multi-year examination process required to become certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and is proud to have achieved the status of Diplomate.
